This week, members of the Inbetweeners Golf Society gathered at the prestigious Steve Ballesteros–designed golf course in Alicante.
We were also delighted to welcome a few new members, alongside the return of some familiar faces to the fairways.

With typical wall-to-wall Spanish sunshine and a gentle breeze, conditions were about as perfect as you could hope for.
The course was in excellent shape, although the famously tricky par-three holes—guarded by water and well-placed bunkers—required plenty of thought, especially for those with their eye on the prize of that elusive bottle of wine.

As ever, with the Inbetweeners, the round delivered a full spectrum of golfing entertainment: moments of brilliance mixed with the occasional shot that would’ve been better left in the bag.
The competitive spirit was alive and well, with every missed putt met by a chorus of encouragement (and entirely supportive laughter). A few ambitious recovery shots somehow paid off against the odds, while others only added to the day’s growing collection of “nearly” moments and heroic excuses.

Putts were confidently struck, frequently misread, and occasionally celebrated far earlier than was strictly necessary.
By the time the final putts dropped, everyone was more than ready to trade scorecards for cold drinks, with talk quickly turning to what might have been, what definitely was, and what would almost certainly be improved next time.
Plans for the next outing were already taking shape, as the group reflected on another memorable day where the golf, the banter, and the camaraderie were all firmly on form. The Day’s Winners:
