The Inbetweeners at El Plantio – Mundibuilt Trophy This week, members of the Inbetweeners Golf Society were playing for the Multibuilt Texas Scramble Trophy, kindly donated by Multibuilt owner Terry Whitehead. The Society gathered at their home course, El Plantío, for a team Texas Scramble played using Stableford scoring. Every One Is Welcome Teams were thoughtfully balanced, pairing higher-handicap players with lower-handicap members — a combination that proved successful and contributed to some impressive scoring across the field. In true Inbetweeners tradition: As ever, the course was presented in excellent condition. The greens were quick and featured subtle contours, making putting a real challenge. Several players took the opportunity to pick up valuable tips from some of the Society’s more experienced members. In true Inbetweeners tradition, the day proved to be another thoroughly enjoyable occasion — featuring moments of genuine quality, the occasional questionable decision, and, above all, excellent company throughout. This Week Texas Scramble Winners: 1st Place: Playing off a 20 handicap, Team Ruud Van Meggelen alongside Loes Klinkenberg, Bertrand LaFont, and David Perkins, recorded an impressive 54 points. Texas Scramble 2nd Place Team 2nd Place: With a combined handicap of 22, Team Francis Heselmans, featuring Frank Cullen, Mark Leigh, and Markku Niva finished with 49 points. Texas Scramble 3rd Place Team 3rd Place: Playing off 19, Team Lesley Cullen, with Lynn Leigh, Joel Mortiers and new member Malcolm Thomas, secured 47 points on countback. SECOND PLACE – LYNN LEIGH (25) – 38 Points THIRD PLACE – TIM RUSE (22) 32 Points Match Report Font Del Llop 16th October Inbetweeners Golf Society: A Day of Good Weather and Competition at Alicante Inbetweeners Golf Society – Multibuilt Trophy at Font del Llop This week, the Inbetweeners Golf Society enjoyed another fantastic outing — this time at the picturesque Font del Llop Golf Course. Members were competing for the Multibuilt Trophy, generously donated by Mr. Terry Whitehead, owner of Multibuilt. The course, with its undulating terrain, narrow fairways, and strategically placed tee boxes, provided a worthy challenge. Wayward shots certainly kept players on their toes, testing both skill and patience throughout the round. Despite the tricky layout, spirits remained high. The camaraderie on display was a great reminder of what the Inbetweeners are all about: friendly competition and great company. After the final putt dropped, everyone gathered in the clubhouse for some well-deserved refreshments. Congratulations to all our winners, who walked away with prizes — and, of course, bragging rights until the next outing!
