Inbetweeners Golf Society: A Day of Sunshine at Bonalba Golf Course Inbetweeners Golf Society: Match Report – 9th April at Bonalba Golf Course! This week, members of the Inbetweeners Golf Society gathered at Bonalba, playing for the Club Cars Trophy for another enjoyable day of golf. The morning began on a mild note, but by the time the first group reached the 7th tee, conditions had turned perfect—warm sunshine paired with a gentle breeze, creating an ideal setting for the round. The course was in excellent shape as always. The fairways were immaculate, and the greens showed significant improvement following their recent spring maintenance, which certainly helped contribute to some impressive scoring across the field. The Day’s Winners were: “Congratulations to our top three finishers in today’s competition. In 1st place, with a superb 46 points, GORDON DONALDSON – and that score earns a handicap cut! The conditions were ideal featuring a warm breeze throughout the game and the course was as tough as usual, with its rolling fairways and swiftly moving greens. Although it was a trial the day remained incredibly pleasurable filled with ample quality golf and, as usual fantastic companionship. SECOND PLACE – ROY HARRIS (35) – 31 Points THIRD PLACE – GORDON McLAGAN (10) 30 Points Match Report La Sella Golf 13/14 November Inbetweeners Golf Society – 2-day golf trip to La Sella – Denia This week, the Inbetweeners Golf Society enjoyed a fantastic two-day away trip to the La Sella Golf Course in Denia. The management and staff at the Marriott Hotel made us feel exceptionally welcome, and the golf courses were in excellent condition. La Sella offers three full 9-hole courses—Llebeig, Gregal and Mestral—each with a completely different layout but all equally challenging. Earlier in the year, the venue proudly hosted the LPGA. The beautifully maintained fairways and strategically placed bunkers provided a true test for our members. Any wayward shots were certainly punished, keeping players on their toes and challenging both skill and patience throughout each round. After the first day’s game, our members enjoyed a wonderful meal in the hotel’s Fusion Thai restaurant. The camaraderie on display during the evening was a perfect reminder of what the Inbetweeners are all about. The following day offered a different combination of courses, but as always, our members were up for the challenge. After the final putt dropped, everyone gathered in one of the hotel’s bars for some well-deserved refreshments and the prize giving.
